The journey continues

Learning continues after initiation. This period is called mystagogy: exploring the meaning of the sacraments just celebrated. In the usual Easter pattern, it extends through the Easter season.

Find a sustainable rhythm

Catholic life includes Sunday Mass, prayer, ongoing learning, and service. New members continue participating in the parish rather than completing their formation on the day of baptism.

Questions can return

Sponsors, godparents, priests, and parish groups remain sources of support. The parish can explain further study, volunteering, and other ways to participate in Catholic life.
