It is okay to observe, lose your place, or ask someone for a practical pointer.
You do not need to know the responses
Listen or use the parish’s booklet or screen. Visitors may remain quiet rather than recite unfamiliar responses.
If you lose your place
Follow the next reading or prayer, or ask an usher for help. Missing a response does not prevent you from following the service.
If a gesture is difficult
Remain seated or adapt a posture if standing or kneeling is painful or unsafe. Ask the parish about suitable seating and support.
